What is the expected commitment? Do I have to give up on other sports?
DCFA Club’s Future program is focused on the long-term development of players, which requires a commitment to consistent practice. This does not mean players cannot player other sports. Players in these young ages are encouraged to play other sports for more well-rounded development.
What will the coaches/trainers will be focus on in training?
Individual Skills Development. Technical training using the Futsal drills and specific skills will be a priority to develop the fundamental skills necessary to be successful in the future. Long-term skill development is extremely important as part of the process. Coaches will introduce tactical decision making, physical development, and psychological development, while all the time developing a love of the game of Soccer/Futsal.
Is there are a uniform for the Future Program?
Uniform is NOT INCLUDED THIS YEAR
Do players need to wear anything specific to practice?
The same uniform for games will be the one for practice
What does the Future Program expect from parents?
1. Arrange to get your child to training and play days on time (15mins prior to either one)
2. Be always supportive of your child and fellow DCFA program members
3. Leave the coaching to the coaches and trainers (cheer, but do not coach)
4. Trust our unique coaching style and the game of Futsal to help your child start developing some special advanced skills. Some games and drills may not look intuitive, but all have a purpose
